America Runs on Dunkin'

                                  America Runs on Dunkin

When you see the Orange and Pink logo, the first thing to cross your mind is a delicious freshly made coffee from our favorite coffee shop.  Could it be America's favorite go-to spot for coffee and a doughnut?  Perhaps it is the perfect on the go breakfast establishment?  For so many, this is the restaurant of choice for a quick breakfast and a refreshing coffee.  After all, no one makes a coffee quite like Dunkin Donuts.  There are so many options, even the non-coffee drinkers can enjoy a delicious beverage.  Dunkin Donuts has a reputation for consistency. Dunkin Donuts sells approximately thirty cups of coffee every second.  They have been a successful chain since 1950.  As of December 28, 2013, there were 10,858 Dunkin' Donuts retail locations.  Their biggest competitor is Starbucks with 17,009 stores open.

Convenience: Many of the Dunkin locations are open 24 hours a day.  If not, they are open at the crack of dawn and stay open late. This makes it very convenient to enjoy a beverage or small meal anytime of the day.  Not only are the locations open to serve the consumer, but there are locations EVERYWHERE!  There are 10,858 locations to be exact, as of 2013. We have no doubt that the numbers are sure to keep increasing! On any busy intersection, you will see that pink and orange sign and crave something delicious.  They now offer fre convenient WIFI for those who want to dine in and enjoy their entrees at one of their cozy locations.  Another convenience that Dunkin Donuts offers is that many of the chains are linked with everyone's favorite; Baskin Robins.  Not to mention, if you are looking to buy K-Cups, coffee or gift cards, these can be purchased online!  In my opinion,  this coffeehouse chain has made a great name for themselves; especially with creating a fast and convenient way to give the consumer the taste of something that satisfies.

Price & Selection:  Not very many retailers can compare to the prices and selection that one would have at a Dunkin Donuts location.  There is something for everyone to enjoy.  Typically, a doughnut has 300 to 400 calories.  However, this retailer has a healthier menu for those who do not wish to indulge in a deliciously- high calorie treat.  An iced coffee is pretty reasonably priced for a beverage compared to at Starbucks.  An iced coffee typically costs between $2 to $3.  There are many different flavors and selections such as: caramel, mocha, french vanilla, hazelnut and white chocolate raspberry. Sugar, splenda, skim milk, cream, whole milk and almond milk are also available.  Not only are there many beverage combinations available to the public, there are many entree options available.  There is no better way to start ones day than with a delicious breakfast sandwich or bakery item. From eggs, cheese, ham, sausage, bacon and Texas toast to a low fat blueberry muffin.  Usually sandwiches and entree items range from .99 cents to $5.  One can even make it a meal with the beverage of their choice.  The selection is open for the choosing.  Dunkin Donuts also provides coupons in the mail for free doughnuts or money off of ones entire purchase.  It gives someone even more of a perk to come in for a hearty breakfast.

Overall, Dunkin Donuts aims to please as many as possible.  With the amount of choices that are available to the public, everyone can find something to enjoy on their menu.  There is not one thing that i tried and did not like from Dunkin Donuts.  I enjoy a fresh coffee every morning and sometimes in the evenings when I am in need of a pick me up.  The locations make it very convenient for me to stop in any direction that I am heading.  There are at least five Dunkin locations in a 10-mile radius from my home.  Being that most of the establishments are open 24 hours a day, also make it very tempting for me to stop and drive right on through the drive-thru.  Dunkin also runs promotions such as their .99 cent any size iced coffees in the summer between 3 pm and 6 pm.  The prices are not outrageous, this is actually cheaper than if one were to have gone through the driver through at a fast food chain or restaurant.  Starbucks prices do not compare with Dunkin Donuts as they are overpriced for the same product.  If one goes to a local chain, they will not be disappointed.

  1. Great post! The images and spacing of the text is well done. You also do a nice job of making your criteria clear. Why did you make the choice to highlight some text white?
