Olive Garden Review

Olive Garden Review

we love going to alive garden since going to olive garden for special occasions once in a while is my favorite thing to do. We get to go spend time together eat, and talk for couple hours. Me and my best friends came up with this idea of going to Italian restaurant to have a nice dinner. it a great place to spend time has great amount of food and they service is mostly nice.

I went to Olive Garden with my sister and two of my fellow class mates. We were planning on it for quite some time and finally decided to go. One of my class mates had never gone to Olive Garden before. So, we decided we all went to eat together. We went on Martin Luther king’s day at 6 pm. We walked into the establishment and had to wait about 25 minutes. As, we look around the establishment  the restaurant looked nest and clean. But their waiting area was really small.  we laughed and said we never realized how busy this small area could be when it jammed packed. Normally we walk in and are seated right away. Finally when it was our turn we were asked to preferred to sit at a booth or table. My friends and I always sit on booth so that what we agreed on. The host found a booth by the bar and seated us.

Our waiter addressed us right away, she offered if we would like to try any wine we all said no. She got us our drinks that we ordered within 5 minutes. One of my friend name Vaida completely didn't order any appetizer even to try any appetizers since it was her 1st time at olive garden. So ,I and my other friend Megan agreed on lasagna frita. She took our order and left.

Sophie our waiter brought back the lasagna frita after about 7 minutes. The frita tasted really fresh and warm. It as just the right temperature and smelled amazing.  By then we were still deciding on what we wanted for our meal I always take their Parmesan baked shrimps it’s my all time favorite and it’s a lot so I share that with my sister. It comes with a side of unlimited soup or salad. So, I choose salad while my sister had decided on getting cheese ravioli. Megan got salmon served with seafood risotto and salad. Lastly, Vaida ordered Italian steak with chicken noodle soup.

After about 5 minutes the soup and salad with bread sticks was bought to us. We each tasted our soup and salad first. I loved my salad and bread sticks.  I just don’t like the olives but all over their salad are pretty good. The salad was the right temperature but the soup wasn't too warm. Right after all of us got our food and the table was loaded with foods. We were kinda rushing with salad so we could get to out proper food. I decided to taste seafood risotto which was OK since I don’t like tilapia. Megan's risotto was the right temperature and she said it tasted very good. The cheese ravioli and baked Parmesan shrimps were amazing. They sometimes makes the Parmesan shrimps dry but this time i have asked them to make sure that there is extra sauce.  upon saying that she has mentioned how they have to place food under the heated shelves and sometimes they forget  to turn in on which causes the food to dry. We didn't finish our salads and soup so we decided to pack it and have it carry out with us later. In all of this time we didn't get refills on our drink which was disappointing she came back with a jug of water and refilled our water glasses. But we didn't get our refresher and coke refilled.

As we ate our main course my friend Vaida said her steak is super dry and she can hardly eat it and the broccoli is under cooked as well. We decide to have the waitress take it back to the kitchen and have it fixed but she never came back until we were done she couldn't eat her's anymore and she had her’s toss it. The waitress did not bother asking us why and took the plates away and gave us out checks. That was a wow moment for us we didn't receive bag or nor we asked for out checks yet. We were planning on having deserts.Everything was so rushed. She didn't get us a refill on bread sticks which are unlimited until we had requested it to another waitress.

After waiting for about 10 minutes waiting for her to arrive we finished up our last sips of our drinks. She finally came and picked up the checks but we were upset and  we wanted deserts and she did not even care to ask us for it. She said oh OK…We were away into the bar section so i guess she payed attention to those on the other side way more then us. So, I and my sister decided to ordered dolcinis I ordered white chocolate and strawberry and my sister order chocolate mousse. While Megan, decided to have tiramisu and vaida very upset did not order any desert.

As, we got out deserts we got our box food and our checks again with it. So, other then enjoying the desert we were busy pulling out our cash and placing it in for her to take the bill. After she took our checks and came back with receipts we decided not to tip her. She did not give us a bag to carry  our boxes in. That's when we had decided to have manager step into this matter and he had to apologize. the funny thing is he remembered me from before. So, lesson well learned say no to sitting by the bar unless your actually planning on drinking.

Here are some reviews from yelp for olive garden. The following  rating is based on 1-10 scale:
Price: 10/10 (the amount of food and option you get is worth the money).
Cleanliness:  7/10 (sometimes they don’t wipe the tables enough and you can see spot left behind).
Taste: 6/10 (food never taste the same there. I guess different cooks back in the kitchen cook differently. Sometimes it’s dry and sometimes too oily).

  1. This is a nice review of Olive Garden. I want you to work on syntax. Think about how you can combine sentences to have longer and shorter sentences in your writing. A thorough read for grammar would be helpful as well. Also, for the blog, think about how you can incorporate the link right into the text.
